Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Harmonia ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. Harmonia is an ear-training game developed by Rowan Vredenburg. We designed Harmonia to collect as little personal information as possible: the App has no user accounts, and your game progress never leaves your device.

Information stored on your device

The App stores your game progress, settings (such as volume levels and notification preferences), daily challenge streaks, and purchase status locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us and we cannot access it. Deleting the App deletes this data.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Harmonia shows advertisements served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect information from your device, including:

Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you may decline. On iOS, personalized advertising is only enabled if you allow tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change these choices at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).

If you purchase the "Remove Ads" product, advertisements are no longer shown.

In-app purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your name, payment card details, or billing address. We only receive anonymous confirmation that a purchase was completed so the App can unlock the purchased content on your device.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the App schedules local reminders (for example, for the daily challenge) on your device. These are generated locally and do not involve sending your data to any server.

Sharing

The App lets you share your results (such as your daily challenge score) using your device's share feature or clipboard. Sharing is entirely user-initiated; nothing is shared unless you choose to share it, and we do not receive what you share.

Children

Harmonia is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising in the App is provided by Google AdMob under its policies. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will work with our service providers to delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to or restrict its processing. Because we do not hold personal information ourselves, most such requests relate to data held by Google (for advertising) or Apple/Google (for purchases), and are best directed to those companies. You can also reset or delete your device's advertising identifier at any time in your device settings.

Data security and retention

Game data is retained on your device until you delete the App. Data collected by our third-party service providers is retained according to their respective policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted in the App where practical.
